Synopsis:
"Oasis in the Cosmic Desert" or "Beyond the Visible Horizon"
is a color slides presentation with live and interactive narration in a dark room (on a fade effect slide projector; a screen/white wall requested). The audience, along with the narrator hops from various cosmic objects nearby to distant ones, as they come to know the character of each object they hop/hover. Eventually, we end up as far as the visible horizon of the universe, find that the planet Earth is unique, and fall back -- as the lights are turned on for question-answers. The Cosmic Academy has conducted these slide shows in India, Australia, Canada, and the US.
"Under the NightSky"
in an inflatable balloon with Igloo dome and entrance will introduce to the audience the nuggets hung on to the dark velvety canopy. For the day of presentation, available planets, nebulae, clusters, and galaxies will be identified with several unique features about the sky and its constellations, asterisms, zodiacal signs, celestial movement, and more. That is, in the near future, in a portable planetarium, a starry firmament will be projected, as one more option.
"Scrutinizing the Outer Space"
from a computerized telescope. We will check out as many celestial object as time permits and study the characteristic in detail of each. The telescopes at our disposal are better than what Galelio started with and used! Multiple telescopes and binoculars available for self exploration. In adverse weather, a computerized animation of the nightsky for the place of activity can be screened.
